Akagera for families

Akagera is a national park in eastern Rwanda of relatively warm, low-lying plains with savannah, woodland, wetland and about a dozen lakes. It has been managed by African Parks with the Rwanda Development Board since 2010.

Why Akagera for families?

• It is a malaria area, so check with your paediatrician and choose lodges with mosquito nets.
• The transfer from the airport is relatively short, which helps with children.
• Some camps and activities have minimum ages, so confirm with the provider before booking.
